Bonby and Worlaby Carrs 6th May 2013

Richard and I decided to drive down to Bonby today and park the car up on the main lane then have a walk round the Carrs. It was a gorgeous day , sun was out and lovely blue skies .  As we walked down the lane we seen Yellow Wagtails , Yellowhammers , Linnets , Sedge Warblers , Reed Buntings , Whitethroat Skylarks Corn Bunting . In the fields we picked out 6 Little Egrets , 3 Grey Heron .  We walked down to the Ancholme River then turned towards Worlaby .  As we were walking along a Roe Deer stepped out onto the path in front  of us , she didnt see us at first and luckily i just happened to have Richards camera  so managed to grab a few shots before she seen us  :)    We continued on then down Worlaby which just looks a bit of a mess now the farmer has cut back all the scrub . We didnt see any SEO which is very sad .  We watched 8 Buzzards soaring in the sky and 3 Marsh harriers hunting .  Had a great walk so much wildlife to see .
